The long time staffer for Otakon, James Kaposztas, who is recognized in the US as the first person to ever create an AMV. Has passed away.

He created it back in 1982 at the age of 21. The news of his death and the contributions to both AMV's and Otakon can be read on Anime News Network.

I thought I would mention it since it seems worthy of a topic page.
