Veriun FFXIII has the kind of character design where they all seem fairly washed-out at first, then you actually try to make their outfits and props and see the rainbow explosion they really are.

It has a skeleton of foamcore, with yellow foamies glued on top, some brown spraypaint, and orange/blue/white foamies for the pattern because I don't trust my paintbrush. The two parts are kept together by a screw, which is covered by the convenient orange swirlie on this side and the dark brown/black cover on the backside.

The security at the con dubbed it "the banana".
