- Ironekilz The skirt was easy as pie. The jacket went well until the end when it came to doing the pleats in the back. The instructions for that part just made no sense. I had to hand sew the lining and pleats because it was impossible to do it by machine. I'm not sure if you're doing the hat too, but if so, I advocate getting a heavier gauge wire than what they suggest and doubling up on the buckram so it's a lot stiffer and retains its shape better.
