Nandra's image
Nandra Yay, progress shots! ^^ Here it is in its various stages.
1. Outline done in crayola marker.
2. Initial painting - and -really- hoping that marker's going to come out.
3. What do you know, it came out!
4. Off-white detail added.

Lots of staining on the edges, but that's the seam allowance, anyway. Also, I've still got to outline the designs in black.
  • Nandra Believe it or not, it just washed out! There was, though, a very faint trace left behind - I think that's because the paint slightly sealed it, so the water didn't reach the marker - but it was pretty negligible. 14 years ago
  • Earthychan How did you wash out the crayola marker outline? 14 years ago
  • Nandra Thank you! ^^ I actually just used crayola markers for the outline - they washed out really easily. Then for the paint, I used Jacquard Textile Colors. They were pretty awesome, but if you use them, I'd definitely invest in their colorless extender; I made the mistake of trying to lighten the color with water at first, and it ran -everywhere-. xD 14 years ago
  • Earthychan Wow... that looks amazing!! May I ask, what did you use to do the outline, did you use paint, and what kind of paint? 14 years ago
