Please check in here if you're able to log into the members area.

If you click on the Announcements section on the left (or in the slide-out on mobile) it will take you to some other informative posts, one of which has many additional details on what's occurring now and over the next couple of weeks.

I may put the site into maintenance mode for brief periods over the next couple of days.

Once logged in, if you could please test an image upload, and if you've been waiting to upload an avatar, you can do so from your profile by clicking on your avatar directly.

I know that this will take some getting used to, for now please let me know if anything is breaking when you are using the site, like an upload not working or being unable to post a comment.

If you're submitting any bug report(s), please also let me know if you are on desktop or mobile, and what OS and browser you're using. Examples: (Desktop, Windows, Chrome) or (Mobile, iOS, Safari)

If you have any issues that need personal attention you can also email me at support AT cosplay. Thanks!

Login works fine, I look forward to seeing the final version of the site, thanks for your hard work =)
I wanted to test the creation of a new costume but I would like to know if you have planned to gather all the folders of the same series. For exemple, I wanted to create a costume related to Magi - The labyrinth of magic but there a nine folders for the same manga, just named slightly differently! It can be a bit messy. The same goes for the characters list.

@Hanoko - what you've described is exactly one of the things the new system is fixing.

The previous incarnation was supposed to do this in theory, by forcing people to choose the correct entry and start from there, but it proved impossible to keep up with due to not being able to keep current with the latest anime, manga, game series, etc. So a lot of newer costumes weren't addable because an entry didn't exist for them.

So now we're back to the way it was in the beginning, where you can add things manually and not have to worry about it. This is so everyone can go back to adding stuff without having to wait on us to create a category for it. Though that does bring in the question of how to deal with all of the misspellings ...

There are two things happening in the background. One is that if you enter something and it matches something that exists, it will match that entry. This will not show up until the tag system is up and running, but rest assured that if you spell something that matches a current category, it will eventually start showing up in it.

As for misspellings, this will be handled by our new search system. We have a separate search application running in the background, which includes something called a "fuzzy search" - which basically means if you spell Batman as Batmannn each will appear as a result for the other automatically. This is also tied into the tag system, so you'll be able to #hashtag things into the search as well.

Once this is complete, everything will show up properly. It's about a 2-3 week timeframe.

For now, I would suggest simply choosing what you know is the correct spelling for the costume entry and entering it manually. Once the data is rebuilt it will automatically tag it into the system for you, but no need to wait for that if you want to start working on your stuff now. šŸŽ‰

Just logged back in after the site was brought back up. Everything I've tried so far seems to be working well. The on-site editing tools were handy for throwing up a quick test image, and more robust than I would have expected!
