HylianKnight I almost had an entire day to work on cosplays, woo~!

So, I buckled down and started my boots. I have a bit of difficulty, finding the right curve & flexibility in footwear. Foam is definitely preferred, but there's ways to get cardboard to show some love. When a boot hugs your calf and ankle though, it's hard to slip in your foot, without having to either make it in pieces or forfeit your ratio. Here above, I slightly cheated... The front edge will be raised straight rather than curved, and slanted downwards to give the illusion at angles (paint will also help this effect). The ratio has been almost 1/1 the entire costume.. which is very rare. Now only if I was insanely tall!

This "cheating" can also be used in clothing, to make it seem like there are curves where nothing exists, or take away unwanted angles. Cardboard is amazing with this logic, because it's stiff, so if you want to look like your have a lot of muscles under that armour, no one will ever know until you take it off, haha.

I'm in the middle of making patterns still, so there's lots unfinished in these versions. :) The pieces separate looked nothing like a boot, so I didn't take pictures until now. Materials & techniques are all the same as the previous pieces, cereal boxes, a little foam and lots of wonderful glue.
