Bahzi's image
Bahzi Yeah, so fed up with this crap by now...so glad this is done...well almost, the spikes need another ocat of paint, I ran out.

About this:

Front black piece is kendo armor, back black piece and silver pieces are sintra (PVC plastic).

Spikes are cast out of hot glue and covered in bondo.

Time to make? Like 20-25 hours I think. *dies*

I will be making a picture tutorial on how to duplicate this armor soon.

Oh yes, and it doesn't have the back spikes because my reference image from the japanese artbook doesn't have them in it, and it's a turn-around, so I'll go by that. Too, I didn't want the wig to tangle in them. ^^
  • Creative Genius If I could make armor like that..I'd totally cosplay Sessy! 16 years ago
  • Inu Kruger I WANT ONE!! 16 years ago
  • Bahzi Tenkage-Chan: Thanks! Haha, Kagome glomping Sesshy will be a funny sight! XD Mukino Kuneka: I made a mold from plaster of paris, smeared vaseline in the mold, then just used a high temp glue gun and dumped hot glue in it, and then covered the spikes in Bondo and sanded.....a lot. I loike the hot glue because it's incredibly durable (my boyfriend couldn't rip one apart), and fairly lightweight, plus cheaper than resin. And thank you, glad people like it! Twilight Clover: Thanks! I can't wait to wear it at Sugoi...seriously, I'm psyched, I've never been as excited to wear a costume before! 16 years ago
  • Envel Nothing short of awesome! I can't wait to see it at Sugoi! 16 years ago
  • Kuro Yue Cast out of hot glue? o.O You must explain this to me. I'm really impressed, overall. The silver pieces look like real metal, and it's by far the most amazing Sesshoumaru armour I've ever seen. 16 years ago
  • Tenkage-chan Oooh, Animeisha-san! That looks absolutely incredible! The detailing is perfect, and looks so smoothly done! I can't wait to see it in person> (Kagome may just have to glomp you, heh!) 16 years ago
  • Bahzi Thanks Ruin-sama! Glad you like! I'm hoping to have the tutorial done in the next few days actually...working on it now. The shoulder piece is kind of heavy actually...about a pound an a half. It's held in place by industrial strength velcro, which is amazingly strong. All the silver pieces are held on by velcro, except the spikes, those are held on with nuts and screws. ^^ Thanks again so much for the compliments! ^^ 16 years ago
  • Ruin-sama O_O ...just....just...wow. I have no idea what to say besides the obvious fact that it's freakishly amazing. The shoulder piece in itself is fascinating! If you make a tutorial, I'd absolutely love to read it...Armor is amazing when done well (like this), but overwhelming for sure. XD 16 years ago
