from costume Suki - Kyoshi Warrior
thatonechick Yeah, I know I don't have the white face paint or the right wig... It's too dry in Denver for the paint I had- it got all cracked and it was more suited for a Joker costume than Suki. The wig I orderd was so horrible that I just said screw it and wore a black one.

Hopefully all the nit-pickers out there can look at the quality of the costume and not the lack of paint/proper wig.

:)
  • ThePebble I'm really impressed with the detail you've included in this costume. Even though the flash of the camera washed out some of it, I can still pick out a good deal. Like RuhiNunchuck said, your sleeves DO look fantastic! I recently added Kyoshi Warrior to my cosplay list, and I'll definitely have to remember that tip. As for the rest of the costume ... 1. For a while I thought the central piece of body armor was made out of leather, but then my boyfriend said it looked more like thick, tough cloth akin to the weight of denim. Here I see that you've used cloth, but what cloth did you choose? I recognize that type of fabric, but I can't think of the name. 2. How did you do the lining for the edge and the sections of the chest armor? It looks really good! 3. I was thinking about using a snap button to attach the chest armor to the shoulder pieces. What did you end up using? Also, what material did you use for the shoulder pieces? 4. I also see that you included that roundish gold piece on the arm guards. Did you include the symbol too? (Haha, I kind of wish there were more detail pictures now XP ) 4. I laughed a little when I saw that you included the diagonal sections on the darker green skirt. I was debating whether or not to include that in my costume, since they only appear in a portion of the animation. Were they worth it, you think? Or was it too much of a hassle in the end? 5. Is that a white underside I see on your gloves?? Geeeeeeez. You earn big brownie points for including that! XD Were the gloves obtained like that or did you have to make them? (Oh, I shudder at the thought ... ) 6. And just because I'm now curious after seeing how the fabric lays on the sleeves ... what kind of fabric is the light green? AWESOME job on this, even without the other details (like face paint or wig color. Actually, do you have any other pictures of this costume when it's more completed?). I'm kinda disappointed that you don't have more costumes posted, since I'd be really interested to see how you'd handle them - especially ones I'm familiar with. Any projects in the works? :D 15 years ago
