Anza so I had this planned for AX but it didn't happen, lol. The worst thing happend! I was so close to being done and to the point that I could do the rest by hand when what every cosplayer fears, happend. I ran out of fabric. Not even that MUCH fabric. I needed no more than a 9x11 piece for the front detailing in the darker red. I laughed so hard that night because the fabric store opened 2 hours after my flight took off.

Oh well :)

So I finally pulled her back out of my "angrysmashinfabricdrawer" stage and decided to pick up where I left off.

The main photo is one corner of the skirt and the middle "loin cloth" piece as it stands now [natural lighting from a window]. I know the larger gems aren't arranged exactly how they should be but I comissioned the gems with exact measurments that were larger and well.. this is what I got. They're still amazingly beautiful to me so I decided to make it work :) This costume has more varitations from picture to picture than anyone can sanely count so I think I'm ok!

Upper right picture is with flash since the fabric colors always look so different. They very much so look more "warm."

Middle pic is just what I'll refer to as a glamour shot of the gems and the tube edging I've made for this costume. I've lost count of yardage and I'm very tempted to go back and remesure it all :B

As for the charms they are the bane of this costume and one of my favorite parts! They're actually shell pieces that make lovely noises when I walk. More cartoony than the realistic side that they are supposed to be coins, but I like it this way. And even though they're not gold they still go. The only reason I rue these things is that I'm attatching them all with jewelry loops and am seriously considering an alternative method. My hands can only take so much!

So hopefully I can get to the fabric store this weekend to pick up the silly little amount of fabric I needed. Maybe buy some extra for a matching purse. Girl anime characters need more pockets!
