Lilybit I've dressed up as Stephine from LazyTown for Halloween for the past couple of years, and I never had a wig. Never really went looking, and when I did, I couldn't find one x.x Except online.
This one was cheap! xD Thanks to Cicatrice for pointing it out to me. It was a 24" wig and the bangs were really long, so I thoroughly enjoyed hacking off the long hair and turning it into a bob-cut!

I'm really happy because this is my first wig, which is fun to wear, and my first time cut and styling one, so I'm glad it turned out fairly well. It still needs to be refined, and there's a couple of chunks in the back that need to be trimmed. It's also very thin in the back, so I'm saving the leftover hair and maybe someday I'll figure out how to successfully weft(?) the hair or whatever.
I used hair scissors and a razor comb.
I didn't take a "before" pic, but here's the leftover hair and the cover of the wig bag.

Now I just need to find my dress xD;;
Speaking of which...how the bloody hell does my dress a.k.a. pink potato sack progress photo get over 5,000 views?? X_X;;;;;;
  • Lilybit Well, I haven't tried anything to make it more thick in the back, but I used a curling iron to smooth it out since I put it in a braid for a while (so it wouldn't keep tangling) Just test out on low settings first, it smelled kind funny, but it didn't mess up my wig. I've also hear that boiling works I think x.x Maybe try running it through hot water and gently blow drying it with a round brush? 18 years ago
  • Spiffy Wow, that's amazing! Incidentally, I actually got the same wig for my Stephanie costume, but it's super thin and really wavy. o__O; 18 years ago
