The start of the DC Cherry Blossom Fes. was when my husband and I went. I gotta say, I don't think I will try this again. I was very nervous and I really didn't want to stand out so my husband and I went out of our way to get these photos.
This is in a golf course. I had to "jump a fence". I climbed on my hubby's back and leaped over a 3 foot tall fence. Thank god, no one was on the green and my cosplay survived. Advantage for us... no crowds =)
Sadly, I wasn't brave enough to go near the heavily populated areas (plus we parked a good 10 blocks away from it, me walking with that wig, that was NOT going to happen) Maybe next year, though if the weather is better and I get friends to come.
