Diamond sword kinda rushed, but comin together

Workin with packing styrofoam I collected from a few warehouse jobs, layering that on a thin grade of clear vinyl, cut to partial diamond shape, hot glued, then the pretty fabric is stretched, and glued onto the styrofoam.
Sadly, it's not having the look i want, and I don't know if reducing uniformity will be enough; as I need clear access to the top edge for the diamond shards to fly out. Sword-cozy is coming along
