DescriptionBoots – These were the first things I got. Found them at a thrift store. I then had to try to match material. The closest thing I could find was a sheer purple. When there was something dark under it, it looked fine. So, all the material for the skirt, top, and hat all have a black broadcloth as a lining to make the colour of the purple really stand out.
Skirt – Draft own pattern. It’s done in two parts with a side zipper.
Top - Bodice McCall’s M6819. I had to trim the neck line between the bust and shoulder to make it more accurate. It was my first time doing grommets. Fun times. The yellow dots are craft foam and held on with hot glue.
Arm band – I covered elastic with the purple material. The round yellow button with the ‘N’ is craft foam.
Hat – McCall’s M6975 H. I used wire in the brim to make it hold its shape. The rope is also secured with hot glue.
