DescriptionThis was my costume for the EuroCosplay Championship in London!
I chose this dress because I wanted something to show off my sewing skills, but not super challenging so I'd be able to finish it in time and still get every little detail right (for the judging.)
Plus, I adore Sheryl, and I thought this costume might be glamorous enough for the 'big' stage ^.^ Even though it looked terribly small compared to all the huge props & armor-laden costumes in the competition...
I love how it turned out though! I think my favorite parts are the belt and the shoes (the ONLY uncomfortable part of the costume), but I love all the little details that took so much time and patience to make: scalloped edges, fancy zippers, satin-stitched appliqué on the skirt...
The wig is custom-colored (blonde to pink), and I used foamcore/batting + extensions for the huge curl. I had to make an all-new wig specifically for this style, because my old Sheryl wig was too short and thin for an updo.
Cost: EUR 190 / ~US$240
