DescriptionOH MY GOD, IT COST ME SO MUCH....OF MY SANITY!
This was my Blue Ice Castle cosplay at the London expo in May. Loads of people said they loved it ^^
I clocked up almost £200 making this, most spent on the bridal satin. I handmade the tiara out of florists wire and card decorations, the veil out of old net curtains, the dress and each and every flower in the bouquet OUT OF ORDINARY CRAFT FOAM. The dress is lined with hand embroidered cotton and the jacket is lined with hand embroidered muslin. There were two petticoats, one made of lace for decoration and the other of tulle for volume. There is a red velvet ribbon around my waist, instead of the red corsetting on the original dress. The veil had two layers, each had teal glitter hand dabbed into it. I even made the goddamn engagement ring to match everything else >.< The ice arm was made from cardboard with glittery spray paints :3
THE TRAIN WAS ALMOST 3 METRES LONG D:
I am so proud of this thing, though. It even ended up in a national paper and a local one. It's all good :3
After expo edit:
So, I decided to wear different versions of the outfit throughout expo to reflect the passing of time and Miku's anticipation of getting married to the unexpected disaster later. Friday was the dress and bouquet alone, showing Miku's dress fitting/trying on the dress. During the day on Saturday was Miku in her entire wedding attire emphasizing that it was her (and mine) big day. And for the masquerade, her arm had turned to ice and her wedding was ruined.
Not many people noticed this but ah well, it all made sense in my head xD
