Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad

Assassin's Creed

When I first saw Altaïr, I knew immediately that I wanted to cosplay him. Not only did I fall in love with the character (the stealthiness, the cocky attitude, the over flowing ego) but I fell in love with the leatherwork. I knew that if I gave it my all, I could do it.

This cosplay took me nearly 4 months to complete. The only thing(s) on this cosplay that isn't hand made is the long blade at the hip and the main base for the boots. With that said, yes I did everything.

I was insanely lucky that my sewing machine could go through the leather. For the designs I marked it on the back and embroidered with my machine. If I couldn't sew it on, I hot glued it. It doesn't work so well with the gloss on the leather, but I'll have to make do until I can figure out a more permanent solution.

The weapons are all cardboard, save for the long blade which is plastic. There are 15 throwing knives (5 at the shoulder, 4 at the waist, 6 on the left boot), a hidden blade, a short blade, and a long blade. Making all of these weapons has to be my absolute favorite. That and it's pretty damn epic having to be peace bonded as a person rather than every weapon.
