Description"Baccano!" as a series took a while to grow on me, but Isaac and Miria found their way into my heart instantly.
I live near the historic town of Niles (http://www.niles.org/), some time after watching "Baccano!", I visited Niles, and from then on, all I could think of was getting a "Baccano!" cosplay group together there and riding the steam train. Shortly after that, my mom brought home a steam train schedule, and I decided that this would happen. I made a Facebook event for myself and my friends, and before I knew it, the event blew up with friends and friends of friends who really wanted to make this happen. It went so much better than I ever could have imagined.
We all either chose our characters or were casted by the rest of the group, and even though not everyone /LOVED/ their character, somehow everyone got a character that they were at least content with. I chose Miria immediately, there was absolutely no doubt in my mind who I wanted to be, and since the group was my idea, I got first pick of characters. I owe so much to my amazing friends for making this happen and sticking through the few rough times we encountered along the way.
Our final group consisted of Isaac, Miria, Jacuzzi, Nice, Nick (aka Jacuzzi's lackey), Lua, Chane, Ennis, and Czeslaw.
By sheer dumb luck, I managed to find a dress at the thrift store that was extremely close to Miria's red dress. My an unimaginable miracle, even though the dress is marked as being four sizes too big, it fit me just fine. I had some red sheer fabric leftover from another costume, and I bought the black fabric from JoAnn's. With some help and suggestions from the group, I managed to alter the dress to be nearly perfect. (I'm nitpicky though, I know I could change a couple of things, but I'm sure I'm the only one that notices.)
