Cruella De Vil
DescriptionI picked this costume on a whim when I went to my first trip to New York city in 2012 for NYCC. I visited the Disney store and discovered their designer villain collection. That weekend I picked up the most of the fabric in the fashion district. The plan was to complete it for Katsucon 2013 but that fell through even though I was sewing during the entire trip there.
Dress: There is about 3.5m of small sequin fabric with a satin lining. There is a small zipper in the back. It ties up with a satin bow behind the neck.
Coat: there are about 5m of fake fur along with 5m of red satin. The collar is stuffed with pillow stuffing. The coat is slightly shorter than pictured (right) because I didn't want it to get dirty from dragging it around conventions. The end result is accurate to the original Cruella look.
Accessories: The purse, fox tails, gloves, and brooch were all ordered from eBay. The cigarette is made with a wooden dowel.
Wig: I bought a long curly two tone lolita wig from ebay and I pinned it up with a large claw clip and a few small ones.
