**Based on the descriptions of the dress in the books

I read the Hunger Games after the movie had left theatres, but before it came out on DvD. So I didn't have any good reference of the costumes in it at all, and honestly, I didn't want too.

Katniss is probably one of the most real teenage girls I've ever read or seen. She can't make up her mind. Her mind is completely naive of the world around her and she's stubborn... oh, did I say most real... or most like me at 16? Well, minus awesome with a bow.

Right after I read the book I marched myself down to the Hancock Fabrics and bought the material for this dress. I wanted to start small and work my way up to the Mockingjay Dress :D
