This costume was super easy to make. I drafted my own patterns for another costume and just modified them a little for this. I then took a serrated kitchen knife to the dress to get the battle-damaged look. I used some amazing white screen contacts that I could actually see through and they whited out my eyes. I used Kolodion scar make up for the scar and enhanced it with mineral eyeshadows. Mineral eyeshadows are really great to use in general because they can be mixed with water to form an opaque paste.
OMG First photos of our Claymore group from Eurobeat Kasumi Photography are up! I love this set! x3 I've wanted to cosplay Claymore forever and finally got to do this year! This series is very dear to me and it breaks my heart that it's wrapping up soon, but the fact that the author has a good guage for when arcs need to move on/end makes it so good.
Also, it's pretty difficult NOT to look at the camera to fake blindness. Blind people have no reason to look directly at subjects and I kept forgetting in pictures! D: I am in love with those contact lenses, I gotta look up more awesome blind characters to have an excuse to wear them more! X3
