DescriptionSurprisingly time-consuming for what I initially thought would just be a set of black robes and a couple of other little details. Fun, though; my first authentic kimono design...
The sutra and rakusu turned out to be the tough parts; the sutra was essentially a quilting project, combining panels of silk with the green edging fabric and the backing, with a panel of twill sandwiched in between for stability.
The rakusu is made from a bamboo tile placemat, cut apart and restrung onto a panel of matching color silk. Time-consuming but very striking and authentic looking...
Very comfortable and fun (especially carrying Usa-chan around!!)
