My fiance, Gingi, (aka Anime_Wench) and I started watching Avatar together before we were officially "together." She was living in Central California and I lived in So. Cal at the time. We were watching it at the same time through Netflix while talking on the phone...

So naturally, when we learned there was a movie coming out, how could we pass it up? Sadly, the movie was terrible! It was the only midnight release I have EVER been to where the entire theater boo'd as soon as it was over.

Thankfully we chose to go as the original source material... a choice that M. Night Shyamalan could have done well to follow...

Gingi's mom did the sewing for these costumes and I have to admit they came out really really good.

Gingi was Katara, her sister joined us as Azula, and our friend Eric (aka Gambit_AK) rounded out the cast as Sokka.
