Joachim Armster

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence

Description

My latest costume created for Kawaii Kon 2010

Joachim Armster from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence

I sewed the costume together; the vest was a menace, because just the fabric was so thick to work with. I installed the studs by hand, and on the back, did all the eyelets (40 in total)

I created the swords from balsa wood and wooden dowels; the bat wing hilts were crafted from Foamies and Crayloa Air-Dry Clay.

I mailed the swords before I reached Hawaii to have a friend work on the harness system and electrical (to make the swords light up and spin around me). The "spinning" was handled by a Cordless screwdriver.
