I came up with the idea to do a sexier version of Sakura in her new Allied Shinobi outfit when they first started the war in the manga. I do plan on cosplaying the original design of this costume, but I wanted to do something a bit edgier and more fun.
The wig was purchased off of eBay. My old one wasn't long enough to put into the ponytail that she wears now, so I had to purchase a new one. I'm extremely happy with the color, style, and length. In order to put it into a sort of picked up ponytail I also purchased a clear hair clip so I could get that sort of spikey effect that it shows in the manga.
The headband was constructed by my boyfriend. Since they do not make the Allied Shinobi headbands in red yet, I purchased one in black and ordered another red Konoha one. My boyfriend took it apart and assembled it to make the one in the photos.
The vest is just an army green vest that I purchased from a retailer awhile ago. I also used it for my SnJ Kakashi. It works well as a substitute for the original design of the vest in the manga, but as a sexier, more feminine version.
The ripped top and pants were purchased online from two separate retailers. As I mentioned, I was going for a sexier effect, but in this case it could also be seen as a war-torn effect as well.
All in all, this is probably my favorite Sakura cosplay to date. Since I am a bit older than the actual character, I felt that this outfit was more mature. It enabled me to portray the character more efficiently than in her previous outfits.
