DescriptionI had a short film assignment for my TV Production class in college to do a "How To" video. My group came up with the idea of doing a sort of Discovery Channel mockumentary of how to tag a faun for scientific research. Along with being the producer/co-director, I also played the faun. I teamed up with a friend of mine (as I can't sew to save my life!) to create the costume for the film.
Horns - Light Super Sculpey moulded, heated, then painted brown.
Bodice - My friend Kathryn had already made a little cheap faux-leather bodice, so we pulled it out of her costume bin to use for the shoot.
Fur pants - Kathryn started out with a pair of grey sweatpants from Goodwill with clumps of yarn glued to them. The hooves were paperpulp and the pants were workout pants . (Note: These were a one-time use only pants! Do NOT try to use this method! Your costume will fall apart!)
Hooves - White felt fabric
Flute - A five-hole Native American flute I was gifted at a pow-wow when I was younger.
