Cabin in the Woods
DescriptionThis costume was kind of new ground for me. Although I love horror and makeup cosplays, I had never tried tackling a prosthetic like this before. Nor had I made a leotard and tutu. Haha. But it was actually a lot of fun, and went extremely well.
The mask is made of latex and cotton, and the teeth are fake nails shaped with a Dremel. It was a lot of work, but an insane amount of fun. In the future, I'd like to expand the mask further back on my face, to get rid of the blending lines on my cheeks and forehead. But for a first go at a prosthetic like this, I'm very happy with the results.
The leotard and tutu were also made by me. I don't usually make cute or pretty things, so that was new territory. Haha. But I'm happy with how they turned out. Both were distressed using coffee, tea, and watered down acrylic paints. Super fun.
