Iron Man Bustle Dress
DescriptionThis is a totally historically accurate costume from 1874, using Truly Victorian patterns, everything except the lighting features and the mask on the hat are accurate. I can switch out the stomacher, gloves and detach the mask and add another front section and I will have a historically accurate garment.
All of the seams are french seamed, and the entire thing is made from silk taffeta.
This was also, notably, the first time I ever wore a costume at a con. I have been going to SDCC and DragonCon for years, but this year was the first time I ever did Cosplay. I received such overwhelming support for this costume both times I have worn it, it totally blew me away and now I want to make a million more costumes!
Rinoa07 You look absolutely beautiful!
LadyCrankypants This is so much fun! Beautiful work, and such an unexpected twist on a familiar character :) Love it!
