Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle
DescriptionWig - Started as an Angela 750 in Fire Red and cut and styled by me.
Bead Danglies - A mix of pearls, swarovski crystals (white and yellow), large sparkling gold beads, and dark red rubber beads. Feathers are from the craft store, and the butterflies are 3 layers of painted cardboard.
Undershirt - Made from a burgundy broadcloth with golden yellow fort the trim, and using an old asian-style shirt pattern. Sleeves are painted with Jaquard Texile Colors (Scarlet) and outlined with fabric marker. The flame-wings on the collar were attached using steam-a-seam and then stitched down.
Kimono - White galaxy twill painted with Jaquard Textile Colors (Custom Orange mix, Scarlet + True Red Mix, True Red). There is at least 10 hours of painting on the sleeves.
Obi - Burgundy and golden yellow broadcloth with double layers of canvas and heavy interfacing to make it sturdy but still flexible. Painted with Jaquard Texile Colors (Scarlet) and outlined in black fabric marker.
Skirt - Used a pattern with a semi-full skirt and a train. White galaxy twill painted with Jaquard Textile Colors (Custom Orange mix, Scarlet + True Red Mix, True Red). There are roughly 30 hours of painting on this!!
Misc Notes - I was trying to go as much for the artwork as possible in terms of my colour choices and how the flames were drawn out. The Scarlet mix and True Red are very similar because that's how the artwork often appeared to me.
_aires_ I love this version of Sakura! great cosplay
Tokidoki Loki Were you at the picnic at High Park today? I wanted to compliment you on this outfit but I didn't get a chance to before I left! You look really great though! This is one of my favorite Tsubasa outfits and your version is very inspiring! :3
