I can not even begin to explain where this costume came from. Never in my life would I have ever expected to cosplay Kanzeon but, like quite a few of my cosplays, I came across a forum on Cos.com and ended up joining a group/person (because I can't pass up Saiyuki). This was done as a surprise and was the first cosplay I did completely 100% on my own, from scratch. It was worth it but the costume has quite a few bugs in it.

Also worth mentioning, this is only the second female I've cosplayed (at a con) and it took some serious nerves to work up the guts to finally slit the dress as high as I did. And my design is still conservative by comparison ;T_T

Hopefully this is the start to a long long list of Saiyuki cosplays to come. I can dream right?
