Raimu "Rhyme" Bito

The World Ends with You

Cosplayer: ohniohn
My currently uploaded pictures don't reflect the description below, which is the final result of the costume. New pictures should be posted relatively soon.

HAT: A black slouch beanie purchased from a seller on Amazon.com. ($15)

HAT PIN: Sculpted out of Model Magic, then painted with acrylic paint. Based on the lovely vector made by Pollux (http://www.cosplay.com/showpost.php?p=2486657&postcount=13). ($0)

WIG: Purchased from HeavenSealed (http://www.cosplay.com/member/165352/). I'm unsure of where she originally bought it and what style it was, but she styled it for a Switzerland (Hetalia) cosplay. She didn't want it anymore, so I thought it would work well for Rhyme. 8D ($15)

SHIRT: I was having a terrible time trying to find a long-sleeve, crew-neck t-shirt of the appropriate color for Rhyme, so when I found a bunch of melon/peach/salmon/whatever-the-hell-color, short-sleeve t-shirts at Michael’s, I bought two: one to be the shirt, the other to make long sleeves out of. I’m actually glad that I did that because I was able to make the sleeves as wide as I wanted. After that was done, I used DeviantArt’s taeliac’s Fakie Screen Printing Tutorial (http://taeliac.deviantart.com/art/Fakie-Screen-Printing-Tutorial-55149185) to “screen print” the skull design onto the shirt, once again using Pollux’s vectors (http://www.cosplay.com/showpost.php?p=2486238&postcount=11). ($15)

NECKLACE: I found a bunch of small bells on clearance at Michael’s, so I covered one with Model Magic and sculpted the little crown on top, painted it with bronze acrylic paint, and put it on some leather cord. I’m very happy with how it all turned out. ($5)

SHORTALLS: I bought a pair of white painter’s overalls and hemmed them to be shorts. I also removed the claspy things on the shoulder straps, since Rhyme’s aren’t visible in any of the official art I found. I still need to sew on the gray placket. ($30)

SHOES: Black Ked's sneakers with golden-yellow fleece sewn onto them. Making these things was absolute murder on my hands. They were definitely the hardest part of this costume. I'm sure I'll always find some fault with them, but they still look pretty damn good, all things considered. ($35)

EXTRAS: I bought my Player Pin at a booth in AnimeNEXT 2010's Artist Alley. ($1)

Total spent: ~$116
