Hello!

I'm cosplaying a character that wears a large hood. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to make it stay on your head? I've seen people recommend using plastic combs. What do you guys think about this? What other things have you guys tried?

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance :)

Either a plastic (wig/hat) comb or a toupe clip. You can usually find both at beauty supply stores.

Well, depending on the character and the hood involved, you could also make a small stand and have it sit on your head with clear straps to secure it. The stand has velcro that holds the hood in place as well. What cosplay are you doing, so that we might know what kind of space/style hood you have?

You can also sew in small loops in the hood and use alligator clips to secure it to your wig/hair. I use them to secure my LoliCap hat to my head because my head's too small to securely hold both the hat and the massive pigtail clips.

Thanks everyone for your ideas. I'm excited to give them a try :)
