I made a post like this for last year's Animazement and since March is right around the corner and May will be here before we know it, I'm posting this again!

What are your plans for Animazement this year in terms of cosplay or even panels?

Are you going all three days this year? What are you the most excited about?

Have any fancy schmancy photo shoots planned?

If this is going to be your first year attending Animazement, make sure you read up on the convention by clicking this link!

I'll be volunteering for the first time this year and working in the maid and butler cafe!

I'm only bringing two cosplays, because that means my weekend will be all about being a butler anyway, haha. In addition to a EGA coordinate to wear while working, I'm bring Trip from Dramatical Murder and my current project, Vincent Phantomhive's Circus Collection outfit.

This is my third Animazement. :)

What are your plans for Animazement this year in terms of cosplay or even panels? I got a whole lot of plans this year. I might be in a yaoi panel, and I'll be in the Artist Alley (splitting a table with a generous person on tumblr)! As for cosplays, I don't plan on making anything. Katsucon really burned me out so I feel this is a good time to take a break [plus commissions come first]. I know I'm borrowing my friends Bokuto cosplay from Haikyuu, doing Erwin [default and pj], and Maya Hideyuki from Hidoku Shinaide for the yaoi panel (that's "new" but I'm buying just random fashion off of ebay lol). It may change a bit but that's pretty much all.

Are you going all three days this year? What are you the most excited about? I'm going all weekend, Thurs-Sun because going for only a day like I did last year just wasn't as fun. I'm excited to see some friends again and to be in my first AA.

Have any fancy schmancy photo shoots planned? I'm hosting all 3 Haikyuu!! gatherings. My first time hosting a gathering for this series and I hope there's a large turn out. I may try and do some private shoots but I'm not all that concerned about that this year.

This is also my 7th year going. Eep.

Maid and butler cafe? That sounds adorable, I had no idea Animazement also had one of those! I hope that you have a wonderful time doing it, I'll try to come visit and see if I see you!

Your cosplays sound wonderful, I haven't personally experienced Dramatical Murder but I am able to recognize a few characters from it so maybe I'll see you!

How do you enjoy Animazement? Have you been to any other North Carolina anime conventions? Which is your favourite?

Your Animazement definitely sounds busy. o:
What days are you going to be in Artist Alley? Friday - Sunday? I don't usually go to the Alley due to it being crowded but I might decide to heft up my train this year and stop by.

I totally understand only going for one day not being as fun. For all of the past Animazement's I've been to I've only gone on Saturday and the post-con depression instantaneously hits me afterward...so I pre-registered this year and I plan on going at least Saturday-Sunday. I'm hoping to make it around a decent time on Friday so I can throw in a cosplay on Friday but I dunno how that is going to go right now.

I hope that you have a wonderful time, I understand your excitement! I'm excited myself, I just want it to be May already, ha ha.

I think this is my...6th Animazement? Goodness I've already lost track of time and some of my older badges basically fell off the Earth so I'm not really sure but I'm pretty sure I've gone 6 years in a row. Wow.

To answer my own questions:

What are your plans for Animazement this year in terms of cosplay or even panels?
Well, if I make it on a decent time on Friday, I will be wearing my Garnet cosplay from Steven Universe! I'm not getting my hopes up with this since James works until 5 but he may be taking that day off so we can just get up and drive to Raleigh.

Saturday is my big day! Literally, in terms of my outfit...this is the day I will be debuting my Sakizou cosplay, Rococo Princess! I have plans on wearing her all day Saturday to really give myself the chance to show off this piece that I have been sweating and getting butterflies about for the past like...7 months or so.

Sunday will probably be a very casual-wear day. I don't really have anything planned that day, I may throw on my Human! Charlotte the Dessert Witch cosplay and go with that since it's a very comfy piece.

I don't have any plans on going to any panels at the moment but as May gets closer I may see some that interest me enough to go!

Are you going all three days this year? What are you the most excited about?
YES! For the first year ever, I have plans on going Friday - Sunday.
Despite how ridiculously hot it's going to be, I am the most excited about showing off my Sakizou piece!

Have any fancy schmancy photo shoots planned?
Yes, actually. I have a photo shoot for Rococo Princess planned on the 19th of May on-site at the Duke Chapel! I'm excited, this will be my first professional photo shoot concerning a cosplay so I'm gonna do my best to blow it out of the water! The photographer I am working with is someone I've wanted to work with since last year but since she's not going to Animazement this year, I decided to just do an on-site shoot since those are always more fun!

AZ is the only NC con I usually hit; my general rotation is Katsucon, AZ, and Otakon as well as a few smaller local conventions. Mostly I hit AZ every year because it's near my birthday (and actually ON my birthday this year).

I'm pretty excited to be working in it this year, because AZ is always so laid back I sometimes get bored--not a bad thing, because framed by high-traffic and high-stress cons like Katsu and Ota it's a nice moderate convention.

I'm not sure how "wonderful" a decked out velvet frock coat is going to be in Animazement heat, but... I hope I'll look good, at least. Ha!

#8 uchiha_Himura on 3 years ago

I plan on cosplaying Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, Green Arrow, And my OC Himura. I also plan on entering the masquerade as my OC as well.

I plan on going all three days.

This will be my fourth convention. But first Animazement.

What are your plans for Animazement this year in terms of cosplay or even panels?
On Friday, I'll be wearing Undyne from Undertale. In terms of makeup, it's certainly the most ambitious cosplay I've ever done, so we'll see how it turns out! Saturday, I'll be hanging around with a Future Diary group as Minene Uryuu. I expect Sunday to be quieter, so I'm planning on cosplaying either Riku Harada from DNAngel or Kim Possible. Since I'm fairly new to cosplaying, I won't be participating in any panels, but I'll definitely be attending some.

Are you going all three days this year? What are you the most excited about?
I'm definitely going all three days, and I look forward to seeing my cosplay friends again, not to mention the amazing atmosphere AZ has!

Have any fancy schmancy photo shoots planned?
I'll probably attend the Undertale gathering on Friday, but besides that, nope!

I'm excited for AZ this year! I've hopefully budged properly so I can buy more stuff that I'm usually able. Also hope to meet new friends there. I live in Charlotte, but most of my school friends have moved or we fell out of touch. This is maybe my 5th AZ.

What are your plans for Animazement this year in terms of cosplay or even panels? Friday and Saturday my boyfriend and I are cosplaying Sorey and Mikleo (respectively) from Tales of Zestiria. Sunday I may cosplay as Byakuya Kuchiki from Bleach. I always enjoy the "Anime you may have missed" panel.

Are you going all three days this year? What are you the most excited about? YES! Dealers room, artist alley, people watching, etc.

Have any fancy schmancy photo shoots planned? No, but I like to see if there will be a Bleach one this year. I'm new to the forum thing for AZ...I thought they used to have a forum where you could look up the shoots people were planning. I definitely like getting pics of anime/fandoms shoots I like.

Just over a month and counting until AZ! Time to start wrapping up cosplay projects. I just have a foam sword to build and I should be done.

#13 Vexation on 2 years ago

I just have to buy a pair of white slacks and I'm done. And slightly style my wig a little more. Hhhhhh so close.

Well, now it's officially May so I hope that everything you've needed to get done is done!

SO CLOSE.
I haven't been paid yet -- getting paid monthly sucks, but luckily I have one pay day left before Animazement and I am mainly going to be buying fake flowers...but the con crunch is going to be so real...but I'm so excited!

Despite Cosplanner, I keep mentally reminding myself of all the stuff I need to get done before Animazement.
Or...before my photoshoot on the 21st, rather.

There is so much going on in my head about my major cosplay, I can hardly function.
