Heyo! I'm extremely new to this website, but I've been cosplay for almost two years now, except I haven't been able to make any cosplay friends, like, at all. I figured this would be a good place to meet anime/book/show fans with the same interest :). I've been to a few cons, but I've been too shy to do much of anything :walkoff:

I'm planning on going to MetroCon (2016), but don't really have anyone to go with. My brother and I were thinking about cosplaying as The Seven Deadly Sins (since I'm working on a Meliodas cosplay and my bro wants to do Ban).

So to end this story:
What was a good convention experience you had?
What cosplays are you planning on doing for MetroCon this year? :D

Hi, im new to cosplay and this is my first con i'm going too. I'M shy too but trying to get out of my comfort zone. If you like we could meet up sometime there and hang out, i really don't have any friends since i just moved to Tampa but i'm giving it my all.
I plan to go as Ciel from black butler, maybe a star treck character, and a maid.

Prehistoric: I know how you feel about it being hard to make friends - I don't make much at conventions but I do know some things that could help. You'll need to work on your shyness, but you can do it in baby steps by attending group shoots/meetups and participating online frequently. It'll be slow, but that should help you with meeting people. Don't give up on finding someone to befriend. ^^

On to the questions:

1. I really enjoyed my last couple of conventions lately as I've been able to hang out with people I haven't been able to hang out with for a while. My con room-mates all met up before the convention and got dinner at this Dinosaur cafe and the food was delicious! This year, hopefully will be with another day getting a good meal ;P

2. Too many honestly. Confirmed ones though are: Joker (HNKNA), Obi (Akagami no Shirayuki), Kakashi (Naruto), and Klaus (Story of Seasons)

I understand the feeling. I moved here almost six years ago and still haven't made any friends, lol. And yes, I wouldn't mind giving it a try if we happen to be there at the same time! Also, I love Black Butler <3 And I practically grew up on Star Trek, lol

That would be great. I've tried a few times to befriend people, but they usually disappear quickly, so it ends up just getting harder, lol. But thanks for the boost of confidence :) I also feel so ashamed I did not recognize any of the shows you mentioned, haha, but it sounds like fun :D

Yeah that would be so awesome, try to make it to almost everything, so meeting up could definitely happen.

I'll try my best! I'll probably post the dates I'm going on here later in the month (since I haven't bought tickets yet or decided when I'm going). :D
