This was the first time I tried to make my own costume. Bought a new sewing machine, serger, etc...

I am looking for constructive critiques and advice for future projects.

Other than adding a dyed gradient to the chiffon layer to make it more accurate, it looks like you got all of the details. Awesome job!! ^^

I really wish I could have had an ombre light blue to dark blue chiffon fabric, but unfortunately our fabric mart here doesn't supply any ombres at all =(... and since my parents were paying for the fabric, i couldn't buy online. Thank You though!
