I missed out on all the multi-day and Saturday tickets.

Do they ever come back, like, as orders are canceled? ._. I had no idea they were going to go this fast, they didn't go anywhere near this fast last year.

This year was a bit insane. No idea about cancellations, but Midtown Comics always gets a batch of all types to sell to locals nearer con time. You can wait in line there to grab one.

It's called scalping... and I sure hope that ReedPOP does something about it in 2015. Otherwise, my group may look into another show for fall.

Thanks for the tips. :D I'll be sure to look up Midtown Comics.

Forget Mid Town they are most likely already gone. A friend of mine knows the manager and he laughed when he asked if he could buy a three day.

#6 roughhead66 on 4 years ago

No. The retail stores don't even have them yet. They aren't released until later in the summer. Probably the middle of July.

also Midtown Comics own facebook page confirms this

Daily reminder: We will have New York Comic Con tickets for sale at all three Midtown Comics stores, *approximately* middle of July. We do not currently know a more specific date, what types of tickets we'll be getting, or in what quantities, or what the limit will be.

When we have more specific info we'll be sure to post it. Thank you!

Midtown's tickets havent even gone on sale yet. All we know is that they're going on sale sometime mid-July.

It's also worth looking into OTHER comics shops in the tri-state area. I had friends last year who just skipped the internet and midtown and 3 a day badge at a smaller shop w/ zero hassle.

I didn't particularly "miss" it, a friend of mine that was place in the virtual queue after me got through before me which was frustrating to say the least... (it was sold out for her as well, sadly).
I was put on the virtual queue for over an hour or so even when I logged right after the site went back online and when it was finally my turn the 3-day tickets were sold out.
I'm debating whether or not to wait in front of a marketplace to purchase the tickets...
This will most likely be my last year attending NYCC if the virtual queue is how they're going to sell the tickets.

*muttering* Don't even get me started on the ticket queue fiasco.

Does anyone know if other comic book shops in NYC besides Midtown Comics get NYCC tickets? My friends and I were really disappointed about missing the 3-Day passes especially since a decent portioin went to scalpers. :fuming: I had to wait on the queue for 2 hours before being allowed to the check out page and then the 3-Day passes were labeled as sold out. :fuming:

That's exactly how I feel about this ticket fiasco. My friends and I are looking into trying Comikaze in 2015 instead, but airfare will be a big factor in that one for all of us.

Forbidden Planet had them last year, as did Comic Book Jones in Staten Island. I know Jim Hanley's Universe stopped. Not sure about Kinokunya.

Hi all, this is my first post here. I am attempting to attend NYCC this year. I wish to buy tickets for myself, my brother, my girlfriend, and her siblings as well. I see only the single tickets for Thurs and Fri are available and the 4-day and VIP are sold out… my question is, how long do you all think until the single days sell out as well? I need a little more time to save enough money and I am worried they will not be available by next month or so. How much time do I have to save? Thanks guys, hope to see everyone there :)

Here is some information on various retailers who'll be selling the tickets:
http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/Tickets/Retailer-Tickets/

Retailer ticket selling begins August 7th (so this Thursday!) at Midtown downtown and then August 8th for all the other retailers!

I am so ready. I've held off going to the sleep clinic because my messed-up sleep schedule facilitates camping Midtown for hours. ;>.> And if I don't get any at Midtown, I will camp another place.

#15 Saltpeter on 4 years ago

Looks like I wasn't ready enough. I'm 823rd in line. I got here 4.5 hours early. People were here for over a day. This is insane. @[email protected]
