Since Otakon is leaving are there any other good cons within an hour from Baltimore?

I know there's AniMore in Baltimore downtown, which is great, but I am hoping for more.

Apparently the company/group that created the Anime Fan Fest in Somerset NJ in 2016, in part/response to AnimeNEXT moving to Atlantic City is attempting to do the same for Baltimore for this year, calling it Anime Fan Fest Baltimore. http://animefanfestbaltimore.com/

FYI AnimeFanFest in Somerset NJ has been cancelled for this year, not sure about the one in Baltimore but giving a friendly notice.

There's Baltimore Comic Con in September. I haven't been to it myself but people I know who attended had a great time.

Yeah I'm hearing stuff about the cancellation. Where did you get your info? I'm not finding any official information anywhere.

And if anything, people should approach AFF Baltimore with caution now.
