• sweet... of course we wont need a hotel because we're from the region, but is there any guesses on how much entry will be and if like the former NAF, we can do panels to reduce the cost?

We probably wont pick our costumes until much later in the year but I look forward to it regardless! :)

  • Pricewise it should be about the same as it was before ($25-30) but could be a $5+ increase because this venue is almost double what we paid to use the college and we're trying to be realisic with the number of attendees we expect to get.

We definitely will do our best to keep the cost low and affordable to our attendees, and we will do MORE than our best to make sure that any cost increase is justified and worthwhile. :)

And yes, things like volunteering and running panels will provide compensation/admission discounts. Full price of admission will most likely need to be paid up front though, and money will be returned after volunteer hours/panels are completed. All of those details will be coming as soon as we can get them.

  • Looking forward to it!

  • Hope I can make it out! It's really close to my birthday so maybe I can get my ticket to the con as a present :D!!

  • I love the logo.

  • Yikes! $25 to possible $35 for a one day? (Only interested in Sat). That's alittle extreme. Not sure if I can get behind that.

that's probably weekend rate as it was a response to my question, which was about weekend passes, there will most likely be a lower rate for single day passes as there is for most cons...

  • Yes, there will be weekend (two days) passes as well as single day passes. :)

Actually, we'll be annoucing prices soon! But I'll be transparant and say that the prices may seem a little high, and that will be for a number of reasons. Mainly because JUST the venue is about double what we had been paying for at the college, and there's still all the additiona costs to have programming and all that. There's also that we're trying to be realistic with our numbers, and unforunately a lower attendance means that the cost of reg will be a bit higher per person in order for us to break even.

We are definitely doing everything that we can to cut costs and make registration as low as possible. One of the things is that we're going to have an early bird pre-reg with the cheapest price we can afford to have it, and possibly group registration as well. And there is always volunteering and running events/panels for reimbursement.

  • Seeing as I live in Oshawa I'll likely try and make it out to the Con. If there is a Artist Alley I wouldn't mind trying my hand at selling stuff there for my first time. C:

  • Good news, everyone!

Registration will officially open up by the end of the week, but RIGHT NOW we can tell you that initial pre-reg for the con will be only $25!! (This will increase to $30 mid June). Full details on prices will be available when pre-reg officially opens.

  • Pre-registration is now officially open! http://www.eventbrite.ca/event/3412919133
