It's that time again. I know, I know, not even a month after the Kon ended and I'm already here.

I'm looking for ideas to develop into panels for 2013 in case I am asked. Usually, the panel requests will go out in November or December, and I'm about to go back to school for a possible career change, so I'll be somewhat lacking free time between my podcast and school. Hence why I'm putting this up early and letting it stay awhile.

If you could attend any cosplay panel, what would you like to learn about? What sort of demonstrations would you like to see? Are there any particular techniques or topics that need covering?

Don't let the poll box you in--if you have other opinions or comments, feel free to chime in below. Also, tell your friends to give their feedback too. It's hard to develop panels without knowing what your audience wants!

So it looks right now like the top three are:

Performing in Character
Patterns and Alterations

I am going to begin planning panels soon; photography and patterns are certainly doable by me, but I don't feel like I could do justice to performing in character (since I'm not much of a performer).

Please keep voting to make your voice heard! I can submit up to 4 panels. Also, if you have something in particular you'd like addressed in these categories, please note it below.

Right now, it's looking like:

1) Photography
2) Performing in Character
3) Patterns/Alterations, Fabrics/Materials, Care/Repair, Wigs, and Crossplay

I can only prepare 3 panels, so I'm watching for comments to see what I need to include in whatever I teach. Also, I'm going to try and bring in fellow experienced cosplayers/photographers to help me present where needed.

Given my time constraints and available preparation, I've chosen:

Patterns and Alterations

*another one or two to be chosen for our podcast panel discussion, depending on what other panels have already been submitted by other presenters*

These are NOT set in stone. I will be submitting them hopefully by end of month once I get final confirmation from my fellow co-presenters. Armoring will cover just that--how to make, wear, and maintain costume armor from start to finish. There will be live demonstrations if we are given permission. Patterns and Alterations will be an upgrade of a panel I taught two years ago, and it will include blocks/slopers this time, along with the usual commercial alteration and draping goodies.

I'm glad to see you'll be doing armoring, while I've been cosplaying for over 10 years, I've never ventured much into armor, but I will be next year after A-kon, so your panel might help me get started =D Please let us know when/what day the panels will be ^_^

Ooh, I can't wait to see an armor panel as well.

I'm not sure what else I would personally pick, though I'm sure I'll attend whatever there is. Never want to miss a chance to learn something new.
