I know that it's always been my dream to create my own manga, but are there any other dreamers / successors out there?

How did it work-out for you guys? Any tips? Or if any questions, just post, maybe someone else can answer them for us dreamers. XD

For me, I'm still in the story board stage, so it's not a team thing yet. Since I'm still lookin for a manga drawer. ( I could draw but my skills aren't very good. I can't do gestures or movement very accurately sadly to say :( ) But it's still a hobby I do durin any free time.

I've always thought about it when I was younger,
But after reading Bakuman, and Oyasumi Punpun,
I don't think I'm cut out for the manga creatin stuff.
I personally think its better left as a hobby than a profession.
Too much of a "gamble".

Actually, I did and for school once I entered in with my short little story. (Never knew I used manga style art back then and actually won.) It was fun. Ever since I've been getting better and working harder at it. But yh it is like a gamble. But I'll take this chance. Like what I always say,

We only live once, and if you live life right, once is all you need!

So it's something fun to me and I've already wasted so much time with it already. It doesn't hurt to gamble some more. You never know, one day maybe it'll come true. X.X

I plan to do one someday for sure whether it will be as a professional or an E-Comic is yet to be seen but but I would like to do it as a pro. My greatest inspiration is from One Piece (greatest of all time it has everything), DragonBall Z (the inspiration for One Piece and as a child it was easy to learn to draw), and lastly World of Warcraft which took a big chunk of my life 30% of my life was spent playing this game. I would like mine to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Toriko, OP, and DBZ. There are other great mangas I have read but those are more my style of art and taste, I love a big adventure with epic fighting and amazing plots. As for my own I have an idea of the story beginning, end, fragments of the middle and a lot of characters outlined with sketches for some and many many more abilities I created. I just need to come up with an ingenious middle fragment that pieces everything together. Oh and the fact that I'm super lazy does slow it down a lot cause most of the time I just don't feel doing anything and occasionally I get the urge to brainstorm stuff.

WOW! My friend, you and me are alike! I got that much planned-out and all their adventure. EVERYTHING, all I"m missin is the detils like of when they speak together and all that little stuff. You're REALLY thinkin. I'm not that far out with the way I want my art and story to be like. Just only some points. XD

As much as I'd love to, being scottish won't help the matter at all. That and while I can draw, and am still working on improving my skills (as i feel I'm no-where near good enough to do it right now, not professionally anyway), I'm not much of a writer, at best, I'd probbaly end up drawing for others most, if not of the time.
Still, I'm looking into it, even if it's just me doing it online in my spare time. I'm more interested in bcoming a veterinary nurse/working with animals. But being an illustrator is also something I feel I'd enjoy.

I always wanted to do such a thing, but alas... I'm only a writer. I can't draw at all... Good luck everyone. ^^
