That's an interesting method. I can honestly say I hadn't thought of that.

I used a different method for my Kaiba gauntlets. I made my guantlets out of craft foam covered with styrene. The foam is nice because it's easy to shape and the plastic gives it a nice metalic look.

They came out looking like this: http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto.php?photo=436425

I think it gives it a smoother finish.

your welcome :) I got my slap bracelets off ebay, but some specialty shops may have them. my husband is also looking into making them himself, because some of the ones I bought, when I removed the original rapping out of them they ware parts of a tape measure. He already tried an old one and couldn't get make it coil. So we are going to buy a cheap one and try on a new one. If that works I'll let every one know. :)

also the ribbon I used is called Santa's best and I got it at my local Dollar Tree.

for Seto's and Isis's I just used gold fabric and put in hidden snaps in the back. maybe to give a stiffer look add interfacing behind the gold or in the gold fabric to help. :) and thanks for your wounderful comments. believe it or not Priest Seto, Isis, and the Dark Magician are my first solo costumes I norbly have my mom make them or help me make them. but she has been so busy I figured that since I have been merried also 8 years now I need to learn some time. LOL
