Hi this will be my first year at MetroCon and so I don't know the area very well. I was just wondering if someone could tell me which areas would be good for photoshoot locations?

What sort of shots are you going for? There's some great spots outside the con inbetween the Embassy and Marriott hotels, and the hotels themselves tend to have pretty lobby areas you could use too.

There's the dock areas on the first floor outside on the back side of the con you could use, and the far left side of the convention on the second floor (closer to the bay area) you could use if you want to stay inside and it's usually not crowded over there as the main events are on the right side (usually, I think it's the same setup this year).

These are locations I normally use off the top of my head, but I'm sure there's more places if you take the time to scout around :)

EDIT: And lawl, I just realize we've spoken through email recently lol, hi.

^-^ Yes, hello again.

I was searching for more medieval looking architecture or a park type place where you won't get the city skyline or buildings in the photos.

I can't think of any location like that close by the convention center and within walking distance unfortunately.

There is a park near the University of Tampa called Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and another near Channelside called Cotanchobee Park. That's about all I know.

I'll scout around when I get there. I think I have a few ideas. Thank you!
