I mean, I know you won't get arrested or kicked out or anything, but would it be weird? I don't know many otaku who are familiar with it, even within my circle of friends. I'm not sure if a masquerade judge would look kindly on it?

Tons of people cosplay League of Legends. I think a lot of the designs are cool and seeing cosplays of it in person are super intense, even if I don't play it.

Wow...you have no idea, do you? O_O Every big con is full of LoL cosplayers. Why should they by seen as different than other cosplays? Do you think like that, because its source is not a manga or an anime? Game cosplays are awsome.

(I may sound kind of aggressive, but this just hits a nerve)

I've just never seen any, and don't know anyone who does. At my local anime convention, there's no LoL cosplayers. That's why I asked.

Then I would suggest to google for LoL cosplay. And look for some videos of big conventions. You will be so suprised...

The only way you would have never seen any by this point, is i you haven't been to a con at ALL. Or on google or on DA or on here much..There are too many to count..

TBH I don't get a word of what your saying, I have friends who cosplay LoL and they've been doing it in the last cons, they even took them to international cons they were invited.

I see LoL cosplayers EVERYWHERE. Con themes are NOT rules of what you can and cannot wear to them. Long as you're not breaking local laws regarding weapons and nudity, you can wear whatever you want to any cosplay-friendly con. Heck, the biggest anime convention I go to every year? I haven't cosplayed from a Japanese source in years. I am FAR from alone as most attendees will simply bring their biggest and best costumes they want to show off, period, screw the genre.
Masquerade SPECIFICALLY, most cons aren't strict on source material. Double check to be sure though, there's at least a few cons that insist on Japanese-only sources still for some dumb reason.

I know a lot about LoL despite never played. Heck, I could list various characters and describe what they look like because of all of the cosplays done from it. I've never seen any at any smaller con I've been but the bigger ones? They are all over the place.

As a main LoL cosplayer I lol'd a bit. There's a lot of anger towards us mostly from anime/manga cosplayers ("OH LOL AGAIN SERIOUSLY THERE IS ALWAYS 100 LOL COSPLAYS AT EVERY CON") and more recently Dota 2 players. I don't really care, I'm always too busy taking pictures with the others LoL cosplayers.

Also, the LoL cosplay community is extremely active, helpful and friendly, and we always find a way to meet new LoL cosplayers even in smallest cons or LAN. Maybe it's an European thing?

The hardcore "ONLY MY PRECIOUS ANIMU AT ANIME CONS EVER" cosplayers are ALWAYS latching onto the latest not-anime popular series to bitch about it being at "their" cons. I've heard the same response over MLP especially when it was at its peak of the fandom (cosplayed four pony gijinkas since 2013 over nine cons now, including two masquerade award-winners, but never had any hate for it myself, though), over Homestuck, I've heard it over Star Wars costuming groups who were invited to anime-centric cons, over Steampunk fashion, etc. They just don't seem to grasp reason- conventions have massively diversified just to keep RUNNING as anime on its own stopped being profitable a long time ago (whereas many sci-fi cons are STILL strong and growing after over 20 years), many geeks love many genres so why the hell not include more to keep people coming, and people who cosplay will cosplay whatever the hell they want when they go to an event, and no rule can actually stop that.

LoL is still growing at my favorite convention...I swear Riots booth took up half a hall this year (imagine a very big warehouse hall for the size). I wouldn't be suprised, if they have the whole hall next year.

And Shinobi I noticed the same a while back. At one of the big anime cons here someone spotted a car in the parking lot, where someone had placed a "No Ponies" sign at a good visible window of the car (which made it obvious he or she wanted people to see it).
And I can't really see a good reason for that. Some say they had MLP fans at past cons who where loud and obnoxious, well so are some Homestuck, AoT and Hetalia fans too. And one person even said in the discussion why MLP is seen negativly by some, that its because of the ridicoulus 30+ guys who carry around big pony plushies (you know, the creepy kind of bronie). I just laughed at him. Any anime/manga fan, that visits anime conventions should never raise a word about how weird any other fandom is, as long as those sexist boob mousepads and giant pillows with halfnaked (often underage) animecharacters are one of the most seen merchandise at each of their conventions.

o.o Guys, wow. So many charged responses.

I can't speak for wherever you're from - I think it would help people answer more accurately if you mentioned what city or specific convention(s) you would cosplay LOL at. Culture varies a little from state to state and country to country, and even con to con I think. > >

I think you're over thinking it a bit.
