What the title says - does anyone else do cosplay from the anime Princess Tutu, or is anyone else considering it?

And if you just plain haven't seen the series, for shame. ;3 Don't let the insanely girly title fool you - it's one of the most beautiful, irresistable shows I've seen.

I personally would love to cosplay as Autor at some point. First, I adore the boys' dance school uniforms. X_X Second, and more importantly, I'm suddenly crazy about Autor. Not in a fangirly way - I feel ridiculously connected to him. It doesn't hurt that it'd be a cosplay I wouldn't have to go half-blind for. I'm a glasses-wearer.

I considered Kraehe at some point, but nah, Autor is definitely my first choice. I don't have the build, complexion, eyes, or anything to be Kraehe, and her dress looks hard to keep on. XD

Next year I'll be doing Kraehe.
I'm not sure who Autor is though...

Do you mean Mytho?

#3 Benihime78 on 10 years ago

Kraehe is on my to-do list and one of my friends will be Princess Tutu. I'm already brainstorming how to keep that dress on.

haha I already cosplayed Princess Tutu <3
I'm planning on an Ahiru cosplay (her uniform) in the future.

It's good to know more people are cosplaying from the series!

Aww, I love Autor! He is awesome. I would love to see a cosplay of him. I'm in the process of making a Princess Tutu costume(swan lake version) for my friend (user name sailorflonne) and a Fakir costume for myself(post raven attack knight version). I almost was going as Edel, but finally decided on Fakir instead. I just really didn't want to deal with her wig...stupid gravity defying thing. >_<

But yeah, we're going to be debuting the cosplays at Katsucon in February, so if it's on your con schedule, be sure to look for us! And I really hope to see some other Princess Tutu cosplayers there! ^_^

Autor needs more love! ;A; I liked him a lot, glad to see people are willing to cosplay him :3
I plan to do Tutu sometime, hopefully her Swan Lake dress (which, to my sadness did not appear in the anime D: ).
And in the future I hope to do Edel, she was my favorite <3

As for the whole keeping-the-dress-on train of thought, good luck. XD And not Mytho, Autor is Autor. The boy with the spectacles.

It really is great seeing there are more of us. I used to be hooked on it before I was in high school, and I very recently got way back into it. I mention it here and there on other sites, and every time I see someone who responds to the mention I feel so delighted. X3

Edel would be an awesome cosplay to see/do. XD And I couldn't remember that dress at first, but I just looked it up... Nice choice. @[email protected]

On the subject of Autor, I know, right? X_X Heh, he became my favorite, for the reason I said at the beginning.

Shoot. Katsucon's too far away - I live on the west coast. X_X Lady Saru (she goes here as well) is actually considering a Tutu cosplay, and the two of us were discussing today how we'd love to put together a Princess Tutu gathering when we attend Fanime next May. Probably be fun. It'd be nice if it flushed out a few, you know, kindred spirits. XD

Rue cosplayer in the house!
The world needs more princess tutu fans, it may seem fluffy and girly but its not... completely!
XD

Well, darn. I was hoping. Oh well. Good luck with your cosplay gathering though!!

Now all we need is a Drossellmeyer cosplay....

Helloooo....*wanders in*

I must say, Princess Tutu is love. I love everything about it. And the music...I love classical. Excessively.

Anyway, I am quite definitely going to do a Tutu cosplay. (Now that I've seen more of the anime, thank you kumo-chan!) I think the biggest problems would be her leotard (backless and strapless, that'll be fun to explain to mom.) and her hair (Not only do I have to make a fluffy feather hairnet thing, that stand up section....GAHHHH.)

But I will do it!

Im cosplaying as Drosselmeyer

#15 Lady Saru on 10 years ago

Nice.

/way too obvious she wants this thread to stay alive./

Now, a question. Do you think it'd be possible for me to pin my hair up into a bob and then put some sort of feather headpiece over it to get Tutu's look? I have fairly long hair (about 3/4 length of my back) and I'm not going to cut it.
