THE SHOOT HAS BEEN BOOKED FOR 6PM ON FRIDAY AT THE TCC3

With the popularity of movies like 'The Avengers', 'The Dark Knight Rises' and the upcoming 'The Hobbit', I figured that asking if there are going to be any movie or American Comic Cosplays?

We could have a biiiiig photoshoot for all us people not in Anime series style cosplays! We could simple call it 'The Fandom Shoot'!

Basically what I'm hoping for is a real gathering of the geekdoms! There are so many fandoms that just do not get enough love because they have no photoshoot of their own.

And for a lot of nerds even though Anime North is considered a 'Anime' convention, it is still a lot of our only major convention so it's nice to be able accept any fandom into the fun.

So included series and fandoms are:
- DC, Marvel and other comic book companies
- Scott Pilgrim
- Animated movies like Rise of the Gaurdians
- Disney, unless they get their own shoot
- Both live-action and animated (especially since The Avengers is technically Disney)
- Harry Potter, Twilight and Hunger Games (Book cosplays)
- TV series like True Blood, Game of Thrones and Walking Dead
- Adult Swim shows like Adventure Brothers (sp?)
- Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, etc.
- Carmen Sandiego, Where's Waldo
- Live-action movies like Snow White and the Huntsmen and Sucker Punch

Not Included (Sorry Guys)
- Dr.Who as they have their own photoshoot (if it's cancelled then feel free to join!)
- My Little Pony, Homestuck,Adventure Time (You all have your own shoots)
- Monster High has a group trying to organize one (if it falls through than come on in!)
- Anime series
- Video Games

But for all of these if they can make a good arguement then I may be swayed

Personally I am going as Rogue from X-Men.

So, any takers?:)

I haven't given much thought on cosplay as of yet. I'm still waiting on a few details but I'm leaning towards Deadpool. I could totally pull of the personality and I think he would be perfect for some of the things I have planned. I'll most likely decide around march what cosplay I'm going to do though.

I love this idea! However I don't think I have the figure to pull of any characters that I can think of... Suggestions? I loved x men growing up!

Provided I continue to have the budget to finish it, I'll be cosplaying Quorra from Tron: Legacy.

can we add tv into this thread? I saw pictures of a rick grimmes from the walking dead (thought, that's comics too) and i have a female version of chuck (from the nbc tv show) that i would love to wear out again!

Of course TV counts! Basically anything that doesn't fit anywhere else

I'll be doing Black Widow from Avengers and Babydoll from Sucker Punch in her sparkly dance outfit. =D

Depending on if I get it done early(since I have no concrete plans to attend AN) I may come as either Batwoman or Valkyrie, but we'll see! :'D

I'm quite the comics fan! :D Though I tend to be kinda picky about which characters I cosplay. I was toying around the idea of doing a female version of Jason Todd from DC Comics, but it's a big fat maybe right now, because I'm not gonna worry about it until after my work on Mass Effect cosplay is done.
