I've been wanting to try a men's haircut on a wig and I was wondering If it was even possible?

I would be fine with leaving it finger length or longer on top but could you even do something like a fade on the sides?

I'm assuming that the wig cap would show through, but what about a nude cap?

Also, what if you cut the wig from a long enough point, could you use the left over strands to ventilate the wig so it would be denser?

Something like an undercut is possible, but maybe not a fade, since you still need enough hair to cover the wefts. (There are tutorials for making partial wigs with bald caps though; that's worth looking into).

You could also add thickness back into the wig with the hair you cut off, but you'll have to make that hair into wefts first, and sew the additional wefts back in.

So it's all possible to do, just rather tedious!
