Am I Crazy ?

I found two possible decent base dresses on Ebay <$50 that are full wedding gowns that if dyed would be perfect base dresses for Sofia the First.

The problem is... can I dye them?

Or, more specifically, since they're HUGE fluffy wedding dresses, is this a crazy thing to attempt since I won't be able so bucket/sink dye (or even tub or washing machine dye) them.... They're silk exterior which I know does dye... but is it worth making the attempt?

Has anyone here dyed a wedding dress yourself and lived to tell?

If you have a washing machine available (and that won't destroy the dress), you could try that method?

I don't think the dress will fit in our machine... I'm leaning towards a cheap kiddie pool if I do it lol
