Five Nights at Freddy's

  • For the Marionette's mask, I was going to start with a papre mache base, and then cut out the eyes and mouth and use clay/paint for the details. My goal is to make it wearable, though I was going to make a few smaller charms completely from clay.

Nice idea for Mangle up there, though I would think of a good material you can still see out of without anyone seeing your eye. Kind of the same trick with the Nazgul Lord of the Rings cosplayers, so I would try squeezing some info out of them.

  • About halfway down, this lady has instructions on greying out the eyeholes of a mask while still being able to see.

  •
I say fursuits are a little hard for me because, well, I never made one. xP

Congrats on having a FNAF group put together.
foam will be the easiest for a first fursuit i'd say <33

    thanks!! we're super excited.
Yeah congrats on getting a group together for that. Most I'm gonna be able to do is that my friend may possibly cosplay Toy Chica at Otakon 2015 with me.
it helps to have a gf + her very willing friend who we can literally drag into anything ((panty and stocking and mlp even though she doesn't watch either she cosplays with us)) and then usually i'll find one other member and they ask their friend and just yeah.

    kumoricon can't come fast enough!

cosplay progress- figured out my bonnie shoes finally. since freddy is gonna do brown high heeled ankle boots, i'm gonna do my black high heeled ankle boots. and also made my tail!

  • By foam, do you mean EVA or upholstery? I hear the latter is more for fursuits.

upholstery foam- if you have a joannes fabric near you, just go there and ask them where the foam is.
they have a giant section usually, i'd get a combination of 1 inch thick and 1/2 inch thick
foam. and maybe consider using the balaclava/foam method instead of making the head base ((like just the bare base of the head no muzzle/mouth/ears/etc)) completely out of foam. it's easier, in my opinion uwu

  • Sounds easy enough. I have a decent enough gameplan for the head and the torso at least.

  •
Sounds easy enough. I have a decent enough gameplan for the head and the torso at least.
the torso is what i would struggle with xD also also do I see you're planning on cosplaying beach bear?! He happens to be one of the three we still need for our rock afire group, we got dook, Mitzi, looney bird and Rolfe uwu

  • I went browsing around for some possible material I could use as a base for the mask. Took a trip to the halloween shop in NYC by Greenwich village, the masks they had didn't exactly have the best base nor did they feel sturdy enough for me to modify. I'm about to just go with commissioning the mask, what may seem like a good starting rate for it?

How I was going to wear a full black zentai suit, black suit vest with large white buttons placed on it, black slacks and dress shoes. I would wrap sports tape around my arms and fingers, along with carrying around a wind-up music box. Originally I was planning to construct a portable present box out of cardboard but it may wind up being too cumbersome to pack for my cons.

  • Sorry if this is late but I can't decide which yet but I'd like to cosplay either Foxy or BB at some point!

Do BB! Everyone and their grandma does Foxy.

  • really looking forward to start my human!toy bonnie cosplay
    c:

  • Okay, so I've officially joined this fandom, who wants to see my design for a Mangle cosplay?

Yep, I'm wanting to be Beach Bear soon because A. We have the same hair and B. I actually play guitar, so I could use my own as a prop. I just have to work on his personality. We'd still need Fatz and Billy Bob. Anyone making colander heads too? xD

Sure, go right ahead! This is the perfect place to put WIPs and finished pieces.

  • I'm doing a human, cyborg-ish Foxy, with my sister doing human Chica. I'm planning on constructing a chest piece to wear under my shirt to represent Foxy's hole in his chest, and I'm going to be constructing a Vriska Serket/Edward Elric-like metal arm, in addition to metal legs.

The only things I'm really puzzled on is: how to construct ears, and the best possible way to make the legs? I'm thinking of foam for the ears, and grey leggings + cardboard shoe covers for the legs. I wanted to get some advice before I start crafting! :3
