So there's no thread for this, and for some ungodly reason, Hobbystar actually has the information for DTAC up like...now.

So...here it is.

Time: 11am-5pm
Price: $9

With Brad Swaile as the guest.

Supposed attractions are...
-Anime Theatres
-Anime Premieres
-Free Autograph Sessions

-Anime Win Lose & Lose (that's what it says o.O, probably supposed to be Win, Lose or Draw )
-Anime Trivia
-Plus much more

So anyone actually planning on going?

Brad Swaile? He might as well move to Toronto since he's here so much. ;)
Though the commute to work might be a killer for him everyday to Vancouver.

I wonder if I can get him to draw something new for me this time.

My friends suckered me into a Crisis Core group for this. =O I'm going, but I always do anyway. =D

#4 Matty's Mello on 10 years ago

more Toronto anime stuff? SWEET! I'll have to get to this! Prob. going as Mello with my L... One question though, is there anything yaoi related, because if not, I'll prob. have a Luke from Tales of the Abyss with me too...

Edit: CHRISTMAS VERSIONS! Santa L and Elf Mello! Not sure what variation Luke will do if he comes...

#5 winter_kira on 10 years ago

I'm going (hopefully)

I think the website is supposed to say "Win, Lose or Draw", and they probably just made a typo.

But anyways, I'm 90% sure I'm going, probably as Agito, but if I get it done, Urahara or Neku.

Not directly, no. I remember some of the dealers selling Yaoi manga, but other than that, I can't think of anything else.

Most likely I will be going. Want to cosplay, and take pictures anyways.

Wow, this early? That's amazing xD.

Anywho, for this one, I might be able to get Ky-Kiske from Guilty Gear done by then. :D
If my friend is coming as Ulquiorra though, I might go as Grimmjow. We'll see :]

I assumed as much, but I decided to just quote them on it anyways.

I'm pretty sure I'll be going as some artbook Sakura from CCS. I found a cute Christmas outfit I want to do.

#10 browncoatnaruto on 10 years ago

I'll be going as Christmas Sexy No Jutsu Naruto.:bigtu:

#11 Feint on 10 years ago

Got to love $9 cons :D I'll have to christmas up one of my cosplays for this

#12 tenshi_kuira on 10 years ago

I'll be going as Organization Riku, blindfold and all. I'll have my cute little Sora and Kairi with me as well. Maybe I'll knit a few scarfs up for the three of us in christmas colours and put mistletoe on the keychain end of the keyblade when they're not looking...hehe...

Aside from that, any tips on things to bring or what to expect from this con? This will be our first year going to Dtac

Don't really expect much. The past few years I've been, DTAC has been a very chill, very much "loiter con". Other than the VA and the dealer's room, there's not really much to do. It is a good opportunity to see people again, and that's always nice.

So, fairly similar to NAF, if you've ever been. It was very much a social con but that's part of the reason I love it so much. I just wanted to prepare my buddies for it as they've never been to a small con. Dtac will be their first.
