How many people actually WEAR a costume to Comic-Con?

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, it's just... I'm a little uneasy of dressing up at Comic-Con... |

If I had to estimate a percentage of cosplayers of all the genres, it would be around 15-20% of the overall attendance that goes in costume. And as for the weird stares, there are hardly any unless it pertains from an interest on your costume, looks, or just plain curiosity. Most people there are probably too interested on whats happening around in the convention to give you any special notice unless your costume is relevant to their interests. |

Weird stares you say? You won't get any of that unless you are doing something really foolish like runnin' around with your underwear or glomping people or something. And I've yet to meet someone who was cosplaying and got a weird stare. |

The last con I was at, there weren't any weird stares. I think that for a lot of people, since you are all there for the same reason, it's more of a "Wow, look at that" than a "OMG!" that you would get walking down the street. |

I've never been to Comic-Con before, being from out of country and all ^_^() but its good to know people will be in costume all the days of the con....now if I can just figure out what the heck I'm bringing with me..... |

Any weird stares that you shall receive are outside of the convention center. I got my fair share of that when walking to and from the con. |
