  • Ohhh his is simple. Lucky you!

If you want really easy and cheap, you could use the rolled up paper + hot glue method. Just roll up a regular piece of, say, printer paper (diagonally for a longer length), roll it up so it's the thickness of a wand, but even in thickness throughout the whole length, as it appears his does not narrow toward the tip. Then tape it so that it holds all down the length. Then cut the ends so that they aren't pointy with paper and are even.

Then get your hot glue gun and plug up the ends. Just fill the ends with hot glue until you build up a rounded end. Once that's done, you can either find some sort of small rings to slip onto the wand (see the ridges? think of them as small rings), OR you could just use hot glue. In which case it'd be best to just roll the wand in one hand as you held the glue gun stationary in the other until you've drawn a straight, even line all the way around. Do it again so you have two.

Once it's all dried, just paint it black and brown in the appropriate places. And you're done! Believe me, this method is insanely quick and easy. I made a wand in literally about 5-10 minutes' time, minus the dry time for the paint.

  • Thank you very much! I'm actually glad I picked Draco!

  • I made my Cho Chang wand using a wooden dowel (and sanding the ends to round them out) and covered in sculpey to carve in the details.

  • that will work as well, thank you :)
